Always an adventure!

We arrived back late Sunday night from taking Emily up to BYU to find that our AC unit had broken down. What joy! So this morning we found out what had happened. A long time ago SCE wired a control unit to our compressor to be able to shut it off when there is some sort of power crisis. We never signed up for the program so we never get shut off but we still have the little box. Anyway, when they wired it they left a bunch of wires hanging next to the copper pipe that contains freon. Something overheated and one hanging wire blew a hole in the freon pipe and all the freon went out. No freon, no a/c. Someone is fixing it now so we'll be cooling down in a minute or two. We used the swamp cooler last night and it did pretty good. Life is always an adventure!

The Latest Transfer

Collin got transferred last Monday and today we found out where. It's Plano, Texas. That's where they make Doritos. This area is very close to his old area. So close that one of the wards he used to serve in borders one of the ones he serves now. A member in the new area got him some of Jack's special salsa from costco. He was very excited about that. He hits the 1-year mark on Thursday the 13th of August. I can hardly believe it's been a year. Emily is preparing to leave for BYU soon. The house is moving fast and all is well.
