In the pic to your left she could hear people outside playing basketball and was trying to peek through the shutters to see them.

Layout

I thought I'd change the layout of the blog for 2 reasons. One, I haven't read many books for a while and two, Rich is about to get his pilot's license! Yay! So something up in the clouds, not that we ever have many here, was appropriate.

12 & 20 Birthday Balloons!

This week Melissa turned 12 and our family started a new tradition. We bought 12 balloons and attached a note to each one. The beginning of the note said, "I love you because..." Each person in the family fills out one or more then we attached them to the balloons and floated them in her room above her bed! She loved them. We also sent Emily a package for her birthday this week. Contained in the package were 20 card completed with the same "I love you because..." phrase. Collin went and bought balloons, tied on the note cards and floated them in her room. She liked them too! I love my daughters!

A nice write up about Emily by some guy.

And then this Saturday down at Velour, we'll see the debut release from Emily Brown. ...I truly wish I had more to say about her, but she doesn't really get out a lot beyond Provo. Brown (pictured above) has become a staple of the city's music scene as a member of the eclectic trio Book On Tapeworm, but not many shows to speak of as a solo artist. Which is a shame after hearing her first release, This Goes With Us, showcasing Brown with no backing accompaniment. Just a girl and her piano making some very sweet music with little post-production. Quite a lovely album. You can catch her tomorrow night for her album release show, performing with Marlee & Hayley and Jennifer Blosil. Just $6 starting at 8PM.

A new stroller.

Anyone reading this have any recommendations for a stroller? I want lightweight, reclining seat, large sun shade, normal colors, and single handed use. There are so many choices.
